Jesus began His preaching with the message, " Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is close at hand," He went round the whole of Galilee teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the Kingdom and
curing all kinds of diseases among the people
Matthew 4:17, 24

John was imprisoned for preaching about the imperative need for repentance because the frontiers of the Father's Kingdom were now in sight. And the word of life and hope was taken up immediately from the Incarnate Word who had come into the world to enable all who chose to enter the Kingdom and make progress in it, to know the Kingdom and learn how to serve Him faithfully . Although the first and basic initiative of that life and hope is repentance, a turning in the way in faith and trust, that orientation and mentality of self-giving , that willingness to change must be the bedrock on which all is subsequently built in being and in doing. And I am the Initiator, Enabler, the Means and the Reward.

And so the reborn, renewed child of the Father becomes the servant of His loving purpose, brother in loving service to His Beloved Son. To the children of the Kingdom it is given to be channels of the proclamation of the Good News, the means through which the healing and sustaining is bestowed, and to share one with the other the joy of the Father's Presence through the Son and the light and power of Our Holy Spirit.
