John answered the Pharisees who had been sent by the Jews of Jerusalem to ask him who he was……..in the words of the Prophet Isaiah "I am a voice crying in the wilderness, Make the Lord's Highway straight."
John 1:23

How did John know his commission from the Most High save by looking and listening to the voice within which spoke to him because of his dedication in all things? And had he not had converse with the very Word Himself? So he gave the Word to all who sought the Father's will and loving purpose. And so he teaches all who seek to receive and understand and possess by possession the Word of truth and life.

And the first step for all who seek the way of the living word is a death to the self which looks for the satisfaction of its natural selfhood and a turning in faith and trust to become and to do that which will be given and shown in the way. Herein is progress, maturity and fulfilment in the end.

The loving Heavenly Father looks to each and every one of His beloved committed ones to become a highway prepared and ready and welcoming for the Incarnate Word to approach and minister to those of His beloved children who have not yet come to acknowledge and know Him. Seek and work, then to become that for which you were created, a living, vibrant part of the King's Highway
