And Pilate said to them the third time, "Why should I crucify Him ? What evil has he done ? I have found no fault in Him. I will therefore have Him flogged and then release Him and I will let him go." But they kept urgently demanding with loud shouts that He should be crucified" ; and their voices prevailed.

Yesterday I spent teaching in the Temple – the Tuesday of Questions many later called it. And the questions mostly asked of the establishment people- the priests and lawyers and teachers – were traps to ensnare Me. I came to bring truth and they plotted to deflect it. I came to bring light and they sought to put it out. And now they stir up the people whom the Father had given Me to help and lead – they stir up the people to destroy the one who had come to save them and to reveal , in His person, the Father’s love.

Do not expect that the light of My revelation will ever be accepted by those who are set in the established leadership of the day. They will accept that aspect which has been set in the mould of historic respectability. Anything new or unusual they fear and often reject – sometimes rightly so .

But My followers must never be cast down or discouraged because those whom they would have expected to listen, consider and help do not do any of those things. If any one believes he has a word or leading from Me let him try and test it by prayer and meditation, by self-discipline and by silence. Let him – when it is right – seek the advice of the people as it is shown. He may expect discouragement and disbelief in most cases. The Son of Man was condemned to death because He presented The Truth and His Person and teaching. The Father raised Him up to love and witness through eternity.
