Jesus said to Zacchaeus, "Make haste and come down
for today I must dine at your house."
Luke 19:3

See the eagerness of Zacchaeus as I came to Jericho during My ministry on earth. He sought to see Me. He could not so he waited. Childlike he acted yet with wisdom and patience. And he was rewarded for as I passed with the crowds I saw him. Those with Me had told Me , as I approached , that here was a sinner, and one I should ignore. I saw only his eagerness, his searching , his joy and having found a place where he could see better and come closer. And there was joy when we came together in meeting , ad I knew at once that here was that eagerness and generosity which brought him to my presence. I asked that I might stay with Zacchaeus , and with great haste and alacrity he came down from the tree and joyfully and courteously entertained Me. And because of his desire to see for himself and be near to that which he sought ; because he invited to himself and entertained the light which lighted him to salvation, this man brought joy to all around him (save only the envious and unenlightened.)

So are the eager, the single - hearted always rewarded , those who joyfully seek and who, having entertained, offer themselves in faith.
