Jesus took the Twelve aside and said, " We are now going up to Jerusalem"
Luke 18:31.ff

Jerusalem, city of joy, heart of hostility and suffering in many ways and at many and various times. It should have been the centre of growth, the place where the nations of the earth flocked for teaching and instruction regarding the establishing the Father's Kingdom on earth. And now it is the centre of hate ; injustice and suffering surround its borders . Why are the children of my heart content to have it so ? Look now, I took twelve friends and disciples to Jerusalem in the last days of My life on earth. There they saw and suffered in my teaching and suffering . They lived through My death on the cross and were witnesses to My resurrection. Through the power of our Holy Spirit the dynamic and all-embracing love of the Father and my saving grace they, and all who have come after, turned the world upside down . These eleven weak, ordinary men supported and helped by the committed women, were the means of the extension of the fruits of My incarnation, redemptive act and are the living witnesses and agents of my resurrection Where are My eleven today ?

Pray ceaselessly that those whose glorious task it is to lead to Jerusalem today witness, suffer and rise triumphantly , may be found on earth the world over, and that they may gather in to the Father's heart and Kingdom all who would be saved and rejoice in His all-embracing love.
