Monday March 28th
And the Lord turned and looked upon Peter. And Peter went out and wept bitterly.
Luke 22:61-62

My look was not of rebuke but of love and forgiveness. Peter had already repented of His threefold denial and of His failure in faithfulness. Dear faithful Peter - he was a faithful man at heart - was often subject to his impetuous nature , and this was impetuosity in reverse combined with a not unreasonable attack of fear. And which of My other Disciples of the time ,or followers down the ages would have acted differently? As Peter had already repented in his heart I was able to give him - separated in circumstance though we were - the look of forgiveness and of love and of comfort. This it was which broke his heart and led him to the reaction of bitter and unrestrained weeping. It was a healthy, therapeutic reaction, and although his heart and mind remained in the gloom of despondency and self-reproach and utter hopelessness he was prepared and ready to receive My Easter visitation and the risen life which I lived and died to bestow.

As with Peter so with each and every one of My loving, committed followers of all times and ages, places and conditions. My love brings forgiveness and assurance, My death salvation and My resurrection life the life and light of eternity.
