2 Timothy 4:1-8. Mark 12:8-44

In word and sacrament, in opportunity for service and relationship the word of the living God is offered you, I speak to every one of the Father’s beloved sons and daughters: be alert to receive it, constant and obedient in response and faithful in love and in self-giving. All obedient to the Father’s word and faithful in the way are brought to perfection and fulfilment in the fulness of eternity through the grace and power of Our indwelling and the light and guiding of Our Holy Spirit.

Pray that the good purpose of the Father’s perfect will be fulfilled in you and increasingly in His world. In humility and love and self-giving embrace the Father’s will for you as it is offered, with all whom He gives you to befriend, identify and serve.

Nothing less than absolute self-giving in the grace and power of Our love is adequate in your response to the love of Father, Son and Holy Spirit, offering Him who created, sustains and calls you all you have and are and are becoming.
