St. John Fisher
1 Peter 4:12-19. Matthew 10:34-39

Obedience to the Father’s world and faithfulness in His love are not guarantees of a trouble-free life – rather the contrary. Dark and threatening clouds hover over one and all born into the Father’s world. But the light which lightens every single one who is born into the world is always present beneath and around all that exists in time and through eternity. I, the Father’s Word Incarnate have come into the world that all may have life and have it in abundance.

Many clouds are dispersed by and through the Father’s love, many blown away by and through Our Holy Spirit. But some needs must descend upon the one and many and be confronted by one and all. The clouds of ignorance and unloving fall on the just and unjust: the faithful in Our love are strengthened, led and guided through all contrary circumstances and brought to perfection and fulfilment in the Father’s Presence in the fulness of eternity.
