Great crowds accompanied Jesus on His way and He turned and spoke to them, "If any man comes to me without hating his father and mother , wife and children, brothers and sisters he cannot be My disciple. Anyone who does not carry My cross and come after me cannot be My disciple"
Luke 14:25-27

To become a lively participant in the life of the Kingdom of the Father means life and death, security and uncertainty , joy and pain - or so it is on earth. For as I identified with suffering humanity in My incarnate life , and redeemed from sin for perfection in the Father, so must each disciple of mine identify and share according to the measure of his calling. . And that is both the means of his own maturity as a member of the Kingdom of the Father and his contribution to the whole in time and eternity. So he not only qualifies to become a member of the Kingdom of light in My Name and saving love but himself becomes a very integral part of it.

How could it be otherwise, then, than that the shadow of the cross which I bore falls on him, the print of the nails ? How could he rejoice in the fellowship of suffering and salvation unless he shared, in however slight a measure, in the cost and fellowship of it ? How could he know joy unless he travelled with Me through the valley of pain and loss ? There is such rejoicing as the world cannot even begin to imagine in the Eternal Kingdom of the Father's love.
