Jesus said, "This poor widow…………has given all she had to live on"
Luke 21:1-4

No one can give away anything which does not come form their Heavenly Father. Nothing is possessed, known, or experienced without His knowing, and all that is good and beneficial comes from His hand. It is His will and good purpose that His beloved children take to themselves all that he offers for their own perfection and for sharing with their fellowmen both near and far. And Our Holy Spirit illumines and guides the way and the means, providing facilities and resources to further and perfect that which the Father wills.

To live and give in the light of this understanding takes a measure of love and trust in the Heavenly Father and faith in His loving purpose, which is rarely found in His children in the West. So many give from the superfluity of their wealth and possessions: some embrace to themselves even that. And so they are diminished, the Father's Kingdom deprived of their participation in caring and sharing.

There is no giving of worth which does not spring from the heart's centre and involve an offering of the self, whether possessions or that which is of the essence of the soul's being. It is always costly. But the soul's growth is extended and expanded as it engages in such radical self-giving. And I am at the heart's centre, giving My Very Self as I am received and taken into the system.
