Jesus said, "The man who can be trusted in little things can be trusted in great:: the man who is dishonest in little things will be dishonest in great……
no man can serve two masters"
Luke 16: 10-12

Singleness of mind and of purpose are not part of man's natural endowment: they must be sought, worked for and continually desired. The natural man strives and connives to bring about for himself and for those attached to him the best circumstances within his power. Such is not to be condemned, but the mature in spirit seek a lifting of the horizon to know and seek for wider horizons and commitments.

Our loving, Holy Spirit constantly challenges the spirit of each and every child of the Father, enlightening the way forward to the boundaries of the Father's Kingdom. First there is the hurdle of self-giving, the setting aside of the natural self with its assertive self-seeking nature and the stepping in faith over the boundary of self-giving and trust. The way is increasingly clear for the faithful committed to the Father's love and good purpose: problems, difficulties, sadness and loss serve but to strengthen and fortify those who are true of heart and receive and employ the resources continually offered them.

So the true of heart and humble in spirit become refined in integrity. Take heart - such is a life-time's work and experience, and all the company of Heaven, with the Father, My saving Love and Our Holy Spirit, are undergirding.
