"Lord that I may receive my sight…"
Luke 18:21

The first greatest gift that every living creature normally receives is his sight. The second is the knowledge and the power of how to use it and for preservation and for growth.

Notice the reaction of the blind man of Jericho. He came to Me for sight, in faith. He knew what he needed for wholeness and asked it from Me, knowing it was within My power to give. He accordingly received his sight. And he then followed Me on the road, becoming a disciple.

So is the pattern for all who grow in knowledge and love of truth and so of Me and their Heavenly Father. Sight is a gift which normally comes at birth . But the use of it must be learned, the eye trained and disciplined to serve the rest of the body.

And the eye of the soul needs similar direction, both from the owner and from Me. It sees good and evil and has to learn to distinguish, to perceive what is excellent and what is tawdry. And having perceived there is the paramount need to apply the knowledge to constructive action led by My Presence and the light of Our Holy Spirit.

So is the Father glorified and His children served, the soul thus orientated maturing into eternal life.
