Jesus said, "The sun shines on the evil and on the good".
Matthew 5:45

Has it ever occurred to you to wonder why there are on earth "the evil and the good "? Oh yes, you understand that in the evil there has been a deifying of self and selfish ends, sometimes the persecution of the good for many and various reasons, often the desire for power and glory and self-aggrandisement. transforming good intentions to ultimate harm for all concerned.

The sun which shines over all reflects and illustrates the loving-kindness of your Heavenly Father : on its irradiation it enables growth and fruition and maturity for plant and animal and human being

And the sun of knowledge and enlightenment shines upon all, each to use according to his ability and assignment in life. Enough there is to care for one's nearest and dearest, for the work to be done, the community to be considered and worked for and - above all - to seek to know and understand the meaning and purpose of life itself.

How, then, is there such a differentiation in commitment? Why are some seen as "good" and others "evil"? According to his reaction to the illumination in the heart and mind and soul will each be judged. And each is his brother's keeper, responsible to the Father for that kindling and reflection of light which he receives.

Let your light - and the light of all who claim discipleship to the Father - so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven.
