A certain blind man asked Jesus, "Jesus Thou Son of David, have mercy on Me." ….. Jesus said to him, "Receive thy sight, thy faith hath saved thee." And immediately he received his sight and followed him.
Luke 18: 35-43

All the children of men are without sight, knowledge or understanding until they receive these at Our hands, and all are gifts from the Father, mediated through the Son, enlivened by Our loving Holy Spirit. The eyes of the body are given at birth, those of the soul are bestowed as body and mind grow and develop in conscious and subconscious partnership.

As for sight in the eyes of the soul - this comes from response to the light offered and obedience to the direction which the soul is required to take. A clear view may be clouded by sin or wrong choice, near-permanent blindness from sin against self-evident self-revealing truth. But always, as long as life lasts, sight may be restored if My saving love is invoked and the past put behind.

The blind man's sight was restored and he saw. As he saw he followed. And as he followed, so he saw. The following and the seeing are intrinsically related: the faithful and the pure in heart attain at the last to the full vision of that which their soul sought.
