Jesus said to His Disciples, "Causes of stumbling are bound to come, but woe betide the man through whom they come. It would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a millstone round his neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble."

Lord, this is a very hard saying.

Every child who comes into the world has the gift of innocence and the gift of light. These two sources of strength bring My children along in growth and maturity. Even the simple-minded possess them: indeed, many of these special children of Mine possess them to a greater degree. So when anyone tries to rob another of any age of light and innocence they deprive that child of their birthrights and of the means of soul-growth. In extreme cases the death of a soul may be at their door. Terrible it is for a soul so to live that in the process he destroys himself. Even more terrible is the soul who is responsible for the death and destruction of another.

These are matters of deep, awful and truly desperate import. Let them not touch you except in two aspects : pray that Our Holy Spirit may use your love and your prayer for all in this negative and soul-destructive way, and pray that you may be used in action by Our Holy Spirit if and when this can be profitable.
