The people said, "He(Jesus) hath done all things well:
He makes the deaf hear and the dumb to speak"
Mark 7: 37

As with the physical condition of the deaf man of the Decapolis in the days of my incarnate life so with the spiritual of all ages. But there must be first the desire for hearing, then the turning aside from the busy demands of everyday life to seek my presence, and finally the search and readiness to receive from my hands that which will open the inner ear to knowledge and understanding.

And as hearing is bestowed of the deep things of the spirit so will the speech be given to communicate then to the children of the Father, as it is given. The way is simple and straightforward: only the complete self-giving is needed.

Never was there a time when ears were needed to receive, tongues to give the Father's message of love and of guidance into the way of the kingdom. Never were there so many and diverse ways of missing the mark and losing the way.

Yet all that is needed is a disengagement for a season to all that compels attention: a looking, a listening and a following in partnership with all who seek the Father's way. Let all respond to the voice within which is continually speaking so that many may be drawn to hear it also and similarly respond.
