A woman whose little daughter had an unclean spirit heard about Jesus and straightway came to and fell at His feet
Mark 7:25

Such love and caring concern for the child of the mother! Such faith in a foreigner whom she believed could and would restore her child to normality! Such prompt action when she discovered that the one whom she believed would help her was in her neighbourhood.

O that my beloved disciples of today would show such love and caring concern for the sick, such faith in me and take such prompt action as this woman from the Syro - Phoenician province in the days of my incarnate life.

Faith love, action: all are gifts of Our Holy Spirit, and it is necessary but to respond to those gifts in obedience and trust. The woman whose child was healed had not received the teaching and solidarity available to the Jewish people, yet she knew understood and acted within the limited horizon of her knowledge. And she received that which she sought from the loving Father, the healing of her child.

Today many outside the reaches of my beloved church look to the Father for light for the journey and healing for themselves and others. And they are not disappointed.
