Mark 8:1-9

There is food enough in the world, or potentially within man's grasp, for each and every one of the Father's beloved children. And it is the loving purpose of the Heavenly Father that all His children should be adequately fed. Great resources has He made available to the sons of men, and they are put to nefarious ends.

Man's greed and hate must end if the world is to survive and selfishness must give way to open-handed living. All that man has is given by the Father - sunshine and harvest, rain, wind and life-giving power, love, joy, contentment - all are gifts from above to be used and shared by His children. And He will increase and multiply all that is received in His Name and offered to His service. As with the bread and the fish, so with each gift and endowment to individual, community and nation.

And the dynamic is My Presence in word and sacrament. As I am present in substance in all that is good and lovely, so am I to be found in essence in that which I have commanded and made holy.
