St. John
of the Cross
We teach
what scripture calls the things that
no eye has seen and no ear has heard,
things beyond the mind of man that
God has prepared for those who love
Him
1 Corinthians
2:9
The way is sure and safe for the
committed and the true of heart.
It is not free of pain and sadness:
these are inevitable in a world
of challenge and of choice. But
I have gone the way before you and
I am with you in each contrary vicissitude
as you invite and seek My Presence.
I am your peace, your power to overcome
all that assails you in the way.
I am the reward to every steadfast
heart, the Father's gift to every
child of man who seeks to walk in
love and faithfulness. I am the
power to walk in truth and love,
that very love itself. As I have
suffered in the world the Father
made for joy, so have I triumphed.
And in that victory I both glorify
His Holy Name and offer Him the
souls of all who claim the victory
for their soul's salvation. Love
is the way and the reward, joy never
ending in the Father's Presence
with angels and archangels and the
whole company of Heaven,
