Jesus said,
"I am the living bread which
has come down from Heaven . Anyone
who eats this bread will live for
ever, and the bread which I shall
give him is My flesh,
for the life of the world"
John
6:50-51
In the simple, basic, homespun food
I am made manifest and received
for the soul's sustenance in the
group which meets to commemorate
My saving act in faithfulness and
self-giving. And the soul of each
who receives in faith and trust
and in the perfection afforded him
as he offers his frailty and failures
of the past becomes the Kingdom
from which the Father reigns. According
to the measure of self-giving love
received and dispensed by each beloved,
committed child of the Father I
operate, indwell, guard, guide and
lead into life eternal. So the simple,
basic material of human sustenance
becomes the means of growth into
eternity, the bridge to the Father's
Kingdom of light and love and joy
even in this mortal life. And when
sorrow and loss and sadness come,
a sense of failure and that sense
of separation from meaning and reality
which it is sometimes given to the
Saints to share with Me for love's
sake, when these overtake the soul
of the committed in love, they will
not overcome, but serve to strengthen
and inspire to deeper self-giving
in and through My Indwelling Presence
. For am I not in them and they
in Me, and all one in the Father?
