St. John of the Cross
1 Cor.2:1-10. Luke 14:25-33

Put your trust in My redeeming love to bring you to the fullness of obedience. You will attain as you continue faithful for I am with you always even to the end of time. And beyond time you will be one with all the redeemed and sanctified in Us in the Nearer Presence of the Father - and this not from your merit or desert but because your Heavenly Father has lovingly willed and purposed it from the beginning. Only be faithful to the end and He will give you and all faithfully committed in Our love the crown of life.

But faithfulness involves self-giving in the minutiae of life as well as in the faith proclaimed and lived. The life of faith is total and cannot brook the compromise of weakness, age , or procrastination . I, the Father's Son beloved and loving, not only gave My life for man's salvation but entered in the agony of suffering in the body, mind and spirit to redeem and save all who sought and seek that which is ceaselessly offered by the Father. Love gives Itself in Its Totality and calls for the totality of offering in the one and in the many. Nothing less is worthy of the cost of Our redeeming, sanctifying love.
