St. Athanasius
1 John 5:1-5. Matt. 10:22-25

Be continually challenged by the standards of that perfect love which you perceive in Me. Keep close to Me at all times and I will bring you to perfection in the Father as you abide in Me and I in you. Fulfilment in His Presence is the Father's will for you and for all the faithfully committed in Our love: such is the point and purpose of all life and living in the kingdom of the Father.

Expect to be confronted by the daily round of problems which challenge all who follow in The Way: take comfort in the knowledge that My way was solitary and continually opposed by many. Draw constantly upon My loving Presence in your heart and mind : Our Holy Spirit will protect and guide you as you continue faithful. Be comforted and strengthened in the power of My Indwelling that I may reach to others in your faithfulness and commitment.
