St. Cyril of Jerusalem
John 15:1-8

All that exists has been one from the beginning and all is returning to that unity which is the nature of the Father who created all things. All that militates against that unity is unreal and making for its own destruction. The Father seeks the glorious wholeness of His Kingdom incorporating the individual perfection of each part within it. And I am the means and the fulfilment, the part and the totality of all that is or was or ever shall be.

Come to Me all who find within yourselves a yearning for that fullness and perfection which is a vital part of your humanity. I give all that is necessary for that perfection and fulfilment for which each one yearns as I am sought and entertained at the soul’s centre. Such is the Father’s will and loving purpose.

And in the process of the growth and the perfection of the human soul the Father’s will is done for building up the Kingdom of His love within His world of men and making it a part of His Eternal Kingdom. And I am both the means and the fulfilment.
