Jesus said, "Be compassionate as your Father is compassionate"
Luke 6:36

None of the Father's beloved children, not one who has ever lived, can know with what anguish the Father suffers the pain of the world. Let it never be thought that He is untouched by the suffering of even the smallest expression of His creation. How I suffered on earth is open record: the unending, redemptive cost of My Incarnate Offering is known in some infinitesimal part by My beloved, committed ones and shared in their life in Me and in the world. And our loving Holy Spirit is one with us in plumbing the lowest depths of inarticulate suffering, ceaselessly girding the heart with Our light and Our love.

Such is the measure of Our loving, the length, breadth, and penetration of Our caring search, the sharpness of identification with the pain and sorrow of every child of the Father whoever lived. No-one who calls Him Lord, seeking to love and serve Him, and who claims to be a follower of Mine, can grow and prosper unless he suffers the pattern of Our pain to be reflected in him, as it is offered him. Even so is he oned with Us and with the joy and hope and glory of Eternity.

For perpetual joy is the Father's promise and assurance to all who are faithful to the end in the power of Our saving, sanctifying love.
