John's Disciples came to Jesus and said, "Why is it that we and
the Pharisees fast but your Disciples do not?"
Matthew 9:14

Let the body always be worn gently around the soul for it bears a fragile and precious being. It must be subject to that being yet expressing the beauty and uniqueness which the Father designs for each and every one. So let all discipline of mind and body be considered and employed to liberate the soul for growth and maturity. Above all else, let it seek the Father's will and good purpose in all things, aware that Our loving Holy Spirit illumines and guides according to the need and desire; and I am always at the heart's centre to encourage and sustain. As the Father's will is sought so will it be revealed how best each child of the Father can most profitably exercise the body and mind for the soul's true progress. Let each discover his own particular way.

And some there are whose way is spare in this world's goods. These are they whose need is for total self-giving so that they may receive more fully all that is needed for their progress in the way.

All who are true of heart will desire to identify in some way with the suffering of the Son of Man who died that all might have abundant life and be with Him in joy of ever.
