Jesus said,
"Your Father, who sees what is
secret, will give you your reward………….for
where your treasure is there will
our heart be also"
The reward of self-discipline for
the Father's committed children
in His life . To know and to experience
His life is to possess the greatest
treasure the world has ever offered
or ever will. To increase this life
is the point and purpose of existence
: all relates to it, and to possess
it is to increase the quality of
life and living in every particular.
So with the life of group, tribe
and nation. And as it is sought
by individuals so will it be bestowed
. As it is bestowed so will it enrich
society, tribe and nation. And both
world and eternity are affected
by the conscious growth of the life
in individual, group, tribe and
nation. How vital, then, to encourage
the life which so builds up the
personal and global and cosmic well-being.
Such growth comes from the initial
step which is taken by everyone
who responds to the life offered,
and from the continual retracing
to that point, which is always beyond
the point of departure if he continues
faithful. Vital it is if growth
is to be sustained to seek daily
the time and occasion for communion
with the Source of Life as it is
given and shown. Patience and quiet
discipline, with faith, will be
rewarded. As with the individual
so with the group : My light and
life and love can be known and experienced
in quiet community as well as in
public worship. Such experience
with lively, corporate worship is
necessary for growth and development
in the full life of the Father's
Kingdom.
