St. Stephen
Stephen,
filled with the Holy Spirit, gazed
into Heaven and saw the glory of God
and Jesus standing on God's right
hand…….As they were stoning
him Stephen said in invocation,. "Lord
Jesus, receive my spirit"
Acts
7: 7
The heart of each of My committed
ones is linked in Me to the Father,
the mind and will, too, are visited,
enlightened and strengthened as
each requires and seeks the right
way. And the centre of My committed
ones becomes the place from which
the word of salvation and joy goes
forth into the world, the work of
healing and making whole and liberation
and consolation in the way.
So it was with Stephen, the first
on earth to witness My risen life
before the court of My people and
among the people of Jerusalem. Those
in judgment stopped their ears and
closed their minds to that which
the Father was presenting to them
through the faithfulness of His
faithful follower. They turned from
the light and destroyed the living
witness to the word he had spoken
as they had obscured for themselves
the light which had lightened their
presence in form and substance.
But although there was a turning
from the light for those who chose
to do so, and all are free so to
do, and all are free in the Father's
world, the deeds of darkness were
made an opportunity of light and
life by the loving Heavenly Father
through My saving love and the power
of our Holy Spirit. For by My death
man's salvation was secured, by
Stephen's death Our Spirit was released
into the world.
