Pentecost
Acts 2:1-11. 1 Corinthians
12:3-7, 12-13. John 20:19-23
As I came to My beloved
Disciples in the Upper Room
so do I come to all faithfully
committed and gathered in
My name. And I give one
and all receiving My commission
strength and power to witness
to truth and to be Our love
to all to whom We send them.
And to this end My love
is offered in judgment and
forgiveness and for progress
in eternal life: stagnation
in the loss of light and
life is the result which
refusal causes.
Our Holy Spirit is peace
and light and joy and reveals
the way in which each is
called, and gives power
to walk in it. And as it
is for the one so is it
for the many. All are called,
each in the singularity
of his own contribution
and all in the totality
of the dedicated whole.
And all are called to be
Our light and life and love
to others through the grace
and power of Our indwelling
according to the loving
purpose of the Lord of All.
