The First
Christian Martyrs of Rome. 64.a.d
Romans
8:31-39. Matthew 24:4-13
Love is both catalyst and fulfilment.
The Father is Love, so is the Son,
and even so Our Holy Spirit. The
Father’s Love and Word Incarnate
has taken human flesh and through
His life and death and risen life
brings all who are in Him and He
in them to perfection and fulfilment
in the fulness of eternity, and
is progress in the Way in Time.
The cost to the Father no-one in
heaven or on earth can ever fully
know, but all are called to identify
with Our redeeming, sanctifying
love, follow in the steps of the
Son of Man, and respond to the Father’s
will and loving purpose in faith
and trust and in absolute self-giving.
It is written ‘God so loved
the world that He gave his only
Son so that all who put their trust
in Him may have eternal life’.(John
3:16.NE.B.) In suffering and in
death the Father’s Love Incarnate
brings all faithful to His Word
in and through His Love to perfection
and fulfilment in the Father’s
glorious Presence in eternity.
