and Peter. (d.304)
2 Corinthians
6:4-10. John 17:11-19
Saints and martyrs, past and present,
witness to the Most High through
His Word and Love Incarnate and
through their ‘purity, knowledge,
patience, kindness, holiness of
spirit, genuine love, truthful speech
and the power of God’ (2 Cor.
6:6-7) The faithful and pure in
heart rejoice in the Presence of
the Father even in and through their
trials and tribulations. Even death
cannot separate the faithfully committed
in Our love from their loving heavenly
Father: through the suffering and
death of the Son of Man, beloved
and loving Son of the Father, all
who follow in the Way, the Truth,
the Life are given life eternal
according to the Father’s
will and loving purpose.
Many have prayed – with Me
– that the cup of suffering
offered them should be removed,
but it was given them to drink and
share with Me. All who are in Me
and I in them who suffer in faith
and trust and self-giving share,
too, in the fruits of My redemption
and enter in the joy of their Lord
and Saviour in the Father’s
Presence in time and through eternity.
