Monday, June 13th
St. Anthony
of Padua. (1195-1231)
Isaiah
61:1-3, Luke 14:25-33
Redeemed and called to sanctity
you – with all who seek to
follow in the Way according to the
Father’s will and loving purpose
- have received Our Holy Spirit
‘to bring good news to the
poor and bind up hearts that are
broken and to proclaim liberty to
captives’. (Isaiah 6:1-3.)
In faith and trust and absolute
self-giving follow in the steps
of the Son of Man as you are led
and guided by Our Hoy Spirit. It
is given you and all continuing
faithful. In the Way to extend and
consolidate the Kingdom of the Most
High through Love’s indwelling
according to the Father’s
will and loving purpose.
‘The saints are like the stars,………………
always ready to exchange the quiet
of contemplation for the works of
mercy as soon as they perceive in
their heart the invitation of Christ’.
(From one of St. Anthony’s
sermons).
