Isaiah 61:1-3. Matthew 25:31-46
The Lord your God is good and loving,
pouring that same love wherewith
He loves into the hearts and minds
of all who seek to know His will
and be conformed to it according
to His loving purpose. He is love,
His Word is love and so is the Power
through whom His love is made active,
drawing all responsive to His Word
in the grace and power of His love
to Himself in time and through eternity.
Such is the glorious news and challenge
which I, the Lord God’s love
incarnate and His incarnate word
came to earth to bring and offer
to every one born into His world
in time to enliven and empower in
time and through eternity.
Believe and trust, then, trust
and believe that this good purpose
of the Lord God’s perfect
will in you and in all you love
and pray for be fulfilled through
my indwelling and the joy and power
of Our Holy Spirit.
