Day of Thanksgiving for the Institution of Holy Communion
Genesis 14:18-20. 1Corinthians 11:23-26. John 6:51-58

Of the earth earthy is every child of man until the spirit of the living God enters mind and heart. So in every one born into the Father’s world is breathed life which issues from the Father’s being.

But the Father offers more so that the sons of men may have eternal life and joy in Him throughout eternity. His beloved and loving Son was sent into the Father’s world and became Incarnate Love and His Incarnate Word that all receiving Him might know the Father, source of life and light and love and live with Him for ever with the whole company of Heaven.

I am that life, the way, the truth. As bread is to the body so am I to the soul. Take and eat in faith and thanksgiving. So shall I bring you to the fulness of eternal life and joy in the Father’s Presence in the fulness of eternity with the whole redeemed and sanctified creation.
