Jesus said to His Disciples, "I have told you these things so that you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart, I have overcome the world."
John 16:33

The world the Father made in His delight and for the sons of men is beautiful and glorious. But it has been defaced by man's voraciousness and inhumanity and by corrupt and evil influence. I have overcome the power of evil and defeated man's mortal enemy. My life laid down has liberated evil child of man from evil's power and selfhood's thralldom. But this freedom must be claimed and made his own by every child of man who seeks the truth and power to walk in it. I am that Truth and Our Holy Spirit gives the power to recognise My presence in the soul in loving faithfulness.

But not infrequently that faithfulness involves a loss of worldly peace and of security by human standards.
