Our Lady of Sorrows
Seeing His Mother and the Disciple He loved standing near her, Jesus said to His Mother, "Woman, this is you son." Then to the Disciple He said, "This is your Mother,"
John 19:26

No-one can know the grief and sorrow of My beloved Mother save He whom she brought forth for man's salvation. And the suffering and sadness of My life were hers even before I took on human flesh. And when she brought Me forth in the constraints of circumstance and deprivation I took upon Myself - I, the Father's Word Incarnate - the sufferings of the world.

Throughout my human life My beloved Mother shared My sorrows and My sadnesses and grew into the understanding of vicarious suffering. So at My cross she entered in its mystery and its power and pain. And I committed her to John, My friend and faithful follower.

Now My beloved Mother, loved and honoured by every generation since My Incarnate days, rejoices in the Father's Presence. And she pleads My sacrificial offering to the Father as she encourages and blesses the sons of men who call upon her love and faithfulness.
