Sunday, December 13th
John said, "I am as Isaiah prophesied, 'a voice that cries in the wilderness:
make straight a way for the Lord.'
John 1:19-28

A voice cries in the wilderness of man's heart and mind, "prepare for Him who comes". And if the mind requires the reason let the heart give answer, "Love comes to reign as He is given time and place within the soul." And if the soul enquires, "how shall I prepare for this encounter, how bring my feeble, failing self to accommodate the Lord of earth and Heaven," reply that He Himself makes all things possible as He is welcomed, worshipped and adored.

It is the Father's will and loving purpose that from that centre where His loving and beloved Son reigns He will push out the boundaries of His Kingdom to include all who look for truth and righteousness. And valleys shall be lifted up and hills and mountains levelled to accommodate the King of glory who is Prince of peace and love and righteousness. The hungry will be fed, the needy ministered to by those who give themselves to Love's dominion. For Love shall rule in love and power and peace and righteousness and joy.
