Jesus said, "I know that the Father's commandment is eternal life"
John 12:50

And so the Father works and I work to bring into the knowledge and the understanding and the willingness to embark upon it the loving purpose of the Heavenly Father for each and every one of the children of men, for each is a child of the Father , destined in hope and promise for eternal life.

Nor is eternal life to be considered as that life which is entered upon when soul and body are sundered, for where that is so there would be no eternal life for any. Eternal life is that quality of living which emerges from faithful following in the way, laid down for each child of the Father; the means for growth and maturity in the way is provided, and sufficient light for sight and progress along the way. But the going must be freely chosen, and choice to turn aside or turn back in the tracks is present in every stage.

But the right and natural choice is forward, and all is provided for progression in the way. Often the way is difficult, sometimes painful; but pain and difficulty provide their own strengthening and insight. Strength and encouragement can be found in exercising solidarity with other travellers in the way, virtue in helping wanderers from the way and those who find the going difficult. Above all, the Father's love surrounds and beckons, My Presence indwells as it is sought, and the light and guidance of our Holy Spirit informs and leads into the fullness and unspeakable joy of the Father's eternal presence.
