The Lord...wakeneth morning by morning , He wakeneth Mine ear to hear as the learned
Isaiah 50:4

Total attention is required of those who would know and serve. There is no other way. No amount of meticulous work or busy activity for good causes can supplant the need for faithful listening and faithful reaction to that which is heard.

This is a matter of tremendous import, for where patient, disciplined listening is practised three things are achieved; first readiness is bred into the one who so orientates and disposes himself regularly, secondly he is informed regarding the path to be taken in any matter, and wisdom in action is afforded him, and thirdly a quietness and confidence of spirit is bred in him which issues from his quiet commitment in walking and sleeping.

The most humbly endowed may follow this way, and the men and women of great intellect, those with many demanding tasks before them and those with few. And for those who persevere in this way of life and service there is great reward in maturity and service.

Those who persevere in this way will find that they are led, in time, to a corporate dedication. It will be shown how this will be and for what purpose. The vital need is for obedience and faithfulness in that which is put before each and every one, with a confident committed trust in the loving purpose of their Heavenly Father.
