Perpetua and Felicity, martyrs (+203)
Romans 8:31-39. Matthew 10:34-39

All life is challenge, and responding to the challenge in faith and trust and absolute self-giving is life eternal. For the Father, Lord Most High, who loves each one of His beloved sons and daughters as if there were no other, sent His Son into His world that through His life and death and risen life all might have life and have it in abundance.

Follow Me, the Father’s Word and Love Incarnate, for where I am there shall you be also. Anyone who finds his life will lose it and anyone who loses his life for My sake will find it’.

‘It shall happen as God chooses, for assuredly we depend not on our own power but on the power of God’.
( Words spoken by Perpetua, unwilling to renounce Christianity, to comfort her father in his grief at her decision.)
