St. Teresa,
virgin and doctor:1515-1582
Romans
8:22-27. John 15:1-8
You were loved into the world through
the Father’s will and His
love has been with you, His word
within you, and Our Holy Spirit
around you leading, lighting and
empowering as you responded in faith
and trust and self-giving: I speak
to every one of the Father’s
beloved sons and daughters in every
place and race and time and dispensation.
Love is the Way the Truth, the Life
and I, the Father’s Word and
Love Incarnate save and - with and
through Our Holy Spirit - sanctify
all who are in Me and I them, for
so the Father has appointed. Whoever
remains in Me and I in him bears
fruit in plenty; but without Me
you can do nothing. It is to the
glory of My Father that you should
bear much fruit and so become My
disciples.
( Words of St. Teresa spoken towards
the end of her life:
‘O my Lord! How true it is
that whoever works for you is paid
in troubles! And what a precious
price to those who love you if we
understand its value’. )
