Micah
5:1-4. Matthew 1:1-16,18-23
Birth
of the Blessed Virgin Mary
Rejoice with Me at the
birthday of My beloved Mother
who gave birth to the Father’s
Incarnate Son to save and
– through Our Holy
Spirit – sanctify
the sons of men who give
themselves to Love’s
indwelling.
The Word of the Most High
in His created world is
life and light and truth
and the way of life eternal.
Rejoice with Me today and
thank your heavenly Father,
Lord of all on earth and
in heaven, that in and through
His Word Incarnate and the
obedience of My beloved
Mother the faithful and
obedient in the Way are
brought to perfection and
fulfillment in His Presence
as they continue faithful
in His love.
‘Mary is the flower
of the field from which
bloomed the precious Lily
of the Valley. Through her
birth the nature inherited
from our first parents is
changed’.
(St. Augustine)
