St.
Piatrelcina (Padre Pio)
Proverbs
21:1-6,10-13. Luke 8:19-21.
(Mt. 5:8. 16:24. Psalm 17:15)
‘Blessed are the
pure in heart for they shall
see God’ ; their faithfulness
in Love shall be their shield
and buckler in and through
the Father’s will
and loving purpose, and
‘when they wake up
in the image of the Son
of Man they will be satisfied.’
‘Take My yoke upon
you and learn from Me and
you will find rest for your
soul, for my yoke is easy
and My burden light’.
‘Take up your cross
and follow Me’, the
Father’s Word Incarnate
and His Incarnate Son. My
brothers and My sisters
are those who hear the word
of God and do it in and
through the grace and power
of Our redeeming, sanctifying.
love.
‘The life of a Christian
is nothing but a perpetual
struggle against self; there
is no flowering of the soul
to the beauty of its perfection
except at the price of pain’.
(Saying of Padre Pio).
