Beheading of St. John the Baptist
Jeremiah 1:17-19. Mark 6:17-21

Be ready, always, to hear the Father’s word, ready to respond in action as you are led and guided by Our Holy Spirit. The Father’s word is challenging, sometimes demanding, for those who follow in the footsteps of the Son of Man. But they know, the faithful and obedient in the way, that I, the Father’s Word Incarnate and Incarnate Love, am with them in their suffering praying that the Father will perfect in them the good purpose of His perfect will.

Let all who suffer through faithfulness and obedience to the loving purpose of the Father know and increasingly understand that they are a part of the Father’s re-creative plan for His whole creation and that they are – in life and in death – a living, vibrant member of His glorious band of witnesses in time and through eternity.
