Jeremiah 26:11-16, 24. Matthew 14:1-12

Constantly the Father speaks the word of truth and justice, righteousness and love to His beloved world. Many do not listen, some turn aside, realising the challenge of the message given. And some seek to destroy the word and – where possible – the one who speaks it.

Prophets there have been since time began in every generation, faith and people, faithful to the word received and called by the Father to reveal it to the one and many. The word brings judgment or reward according to the response made. All who receive the word of justice, righteousness and love are brought to fulness and perfection as they continue faithful and obedient in the way.

All who suffer through their obedience in the way are caught up in the glorious mystery of the redeeming love of the Son of man and the sanctifying of Our Holy Spirit - according to the Father’s will and loving purpose.
