Matthew 12:1-8

All who make, interpret and enforce law of any kind need love to inspire and guide them in all they undertake. When understood and properly applied it is more stringent and demanding than any kind of legal or religious system could devise. And it is more binding.

Rules, laws and regulations cannot engender holiness or virtue nor prevent a person or community from evil ways. At its best the law defines acceptable behaviour in society , as it is sought and needed, and makes provisions to all who defy it. Regarding rules and regulations for those who seek the way of holiness and perfection - these cannot be imposed and should be thoughtfully and prayerfully devised.

The call to wholeness, holiness and perfection comes from the Father. The way to progress in the way is through Our saving, sanctifying love both in the individual and in community. My yoke is easy and My burden light. Love is the fulfilling of the law and I am Love's fulfilment and its Very Presence.
