St. Margaret Mary Alacoque
Jesus said, "Come to Me all you who labour and are overburdened, and I will give you rest. Shoulder My yoke and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls….."
Matthew 11:28-30

As you draw life from me so will you learn to rest in Me. And the receiving and the resting will progress and perfect your way: for I am the Way and I am the Life. Herein is truth and the power to walk in it.

All this is simple but it is totally demanding. Once the decision for discipleship is made, and every time of its renewal, the shoulder is made ready for the yoke, and joy is found in walking in the place and taking on the share the Father offers you. He who takes his part in shouldering the yoke apportioned him progresses far more surely and more joyfully than he who refuses the challenge to perfection and wholeness in Me.

The mind and the heart are fulfilled and at rest as the will is committed to Me. And I weave into one glorious fabric the offering of each and of all be it never so small, and the whole, to the Father. Pain and self-giving in love knits the whole fabric together to be worn in eternity by each and by all.
