One day when they were together in Galilee, Jesus said to His Disciples, "The Son of Man is going to be handed over into the power of men: they will put Him to death, and on the third day He will be raised to life again." And a great sadness came over them"
Matthew 17:22-23

My Incarnate life, My death and resurrection gave for all the Father's children of all times and places the pattern of their progress and perfection as the loving Father purposed it. All born into the world are given His life and power to grow and prosper through My eternal offering and through Our Holy Spirit's light and guiding.

And that this be accomplished each one must die to self and to his natural impulses and affections, receiving from the Father, as he is faithful to Our light and leading, that life eternal as he perseveres in the way. And even this new self which he is given must exercise its newfound joy and freedom according to the Father's will and loving purpose. It too will suffer as it identifies with My eternal purpose to save and sanctify the Father's world. His joy will be to share My cross as I am with him in all his sufferings and vicissitudes.

The destiny of all the faithful is everlasting joy in the fulfilment and perfection of all things: this is the underlying joy of all the faithful, for they will share My resurrection life and glorify the Father in His Presence throughout eternity.
