Friday October 19th
Jesus said to His Disciples, "If anyone wants to be a disciple of Mine, let him renounce himself and take up his cross, and follow Me. For anyone who wants to save his life will lose it: but anyone who loses his life for My sake will find it"
Matthew 16:24-25

In self-giving to that which is presented to each at the heart's centre is health of the soul and fullness of life. But there must be persistent centring and consistent commitment in the light of Our Holy Spirit and the power of My Indwelling if progress is to be made in the way of eternal life.

But if the way is searching, demanding, and not without its not infrequent sadness, occasional uncertainty and sense of loss, yet is it safe and full of hope. And no-one who commits himself and his future to the truth and the challenge which he dimly perceives has ever walked alone. Always My Presence is with him, My steps constantly traceable along the way. For I have trodden the path, and ceaselessly progress the going of countless numbers who are also committed to the way.

To touch the cross is hope and salvation, to embrace it health of the soul and fulfilment in My saving, sanctifying, perfecting love.
