The Spirit of the Lord is upon me….thou shalt be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God
Isaiah 62:3

So was the Incarnate Word. So became the Beloved of the Father. So gained He the crown of glory in His incarnate life and is revealed for evermore as a royal diadem in the hand of the Heavenly Father.

But that was not an end to the whole cosmic matter but the beginning of it. For was it not the purpose of the loving Heavenly Father to entrust to His beloved Son the salvation of all humankind according to their willingness to receive it? And was it not the joyful, challenging, anguished burden of the Incarnate Word, beloved of the Father, to redeem and save according to His glorious purpose which He embraced in loving commitment through suffering and death, through the shades of Sheol and even to the Presence of the Father of all?

And even that was only a part of the whole cosmic matter which the loving Heavenly Father set in motion before the world was made. For it was His purpose to enfold in His loving embrace all peoples of all times and places. To those who, faithful to the precious call and challenge of His Incarnate Word, align themselves in obedience and commitment to the saving purpose is given a crown of glory also and they are made a royal diadem in the hand of their God.
