St, Thomas
Beckett (1118-1170)
2 Timothy
2:8-13; 3:10-12. Matthew 16:24-27
Be faithful to the Truth spoken
into your heart and mind and obedient
in responding to the Word offered
you. Constantly and continually
the Father speaks to His beloved
sons and daughters - through the
Scriptures, in the comings and the
goings of daily life and in the
quietness of eternity as they open
heart and mind and await ‘the
still small voice’ in His
Presence (1 Kings 19:12).
Let the whole self be offered to
the Father, Lord Most High,: let
one and all – alone and in
the fellowship of united commitment
and self-giving – identify
with the self-giving of the Son
of Man ‘take up His cross
and follow Me, for…….anyone
who loses his life for My sake will
find it (Matt. 16:25), for….’I
have come that all may have life
and have it in abundance’
in time and through eternity.’.
(Matt. 16:25 and John 10:10).
